2011 Conference Plans

Join us for our 33rd Annual Conference as ICMA goes to the Omni San Francisco Hotel, San Francisco, California, U.S.A. April 17 Ð 20, 2011. Plans are already in progress to include papers that are good blend of practical applications, new techniques and novel approaches and the latest research efforts in the field of microscopic evaluation of portland cement and related materials. In order for ICMA to have the proceedings available at the conference, we have to start planning the 2011 program early. The Official CALL FOR PAPERS is available on the ICMA website (www.cemmicro.org). We would like to encourage you to share your work and experiences with us by presenting a paper at the 2011 conference. We eagerly welcome presentations on all aspects of cement and concrete microscopy. Your participation is what makes the ICMA conference one of the best cement and concrete technology conferences.

The 32nd ICMA Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A. last March was successfully held with excellent papers presented by expert authors from all over the world and a great workshop on Geopolymer cements. If you were not there you missed a great conference. At our 32nd annual conference, ICMA continued its emphasis on technical papers, panel sessions, and workshops dealing with the daily problems faced by the plant chemist but also there were papers that addressed the cutting edge research in cement and concrete. A CD is available of the 32nd Proceedings for $25. Mail charges are $5 for domestic mailing or $10 for international mailing and will be added to the purchase price. During the 2003 meeting, a compilation CD-ROM of all the past ICMA proceedings was made available. The compilation CD is your chance to get all the past proceedings at one time. The CD contains all past printed proceedings, some of which are no longer available in print form. The CD_ROM can be purchased from ICMA or from PCA for $150. $5 for domestic mailing or $10 for international mailing is added to the purchase price.

Don't be left out of the "New ICMA". Membership is free with your email submission. ICMA is in the process of converting to a paperless association. We therefore need your email address to be able to notify you of up-coming meetings and special announcements. Becoming a subscriber to ICMA will also allow you to send an email message to all other subscribers in one easy step.
